SAE Technical Papers - A Treasure for Collectors/Historians |

These are technical papers written by the engineers who designed landmark cars and components of yesterday and today. These papers are available just as they were written and illustrated when these vehicles were released. They provide a wonderful in-depth look at the cars and their components. The first two digits of the paper number indicate the year of publication.
Here are some examples:

- 480086 Hudson's New Look, the introduction of the new Hudsons of the late �40s
- 560020 The New Packard Engine
- 560247 The Packard Non-Spinning Differential

- 670070 Ford Mark II GT sports car disc brake system, covering the development of the brake system for this remarkable car.
- 670071 Laboratory simulation of powertrain for Ford Mark II-GT sports-racing car, a look at how Ford pre-race the LeMans race on the dyno.
